what makes a good film poster?

In my opinion i think what makes good film poster includes clear information, the title should be bold so it is eye catching and relates to the film genre. Example: if the genre of the film is horror, therefore the title has blood all over it to represent the genre. it should have a colour background that is related the genre. example: if the genre of the film is horror, the background colour should either be red or black. the film poster should include the basic things such as release date of the film, the age rating, credit block and film company.

The name of the film will be called The Apocalypse

The genre of the film will be Horror/Action and will be 18+

The location is in America

This film is about a special military unit that makes ultimate weapons, scientist from the unit made a virus in the laboratory... one day somehow the virus got out of the laboratory and spread around the world. the virus turned people to zombies. a group of people with heavy guns trying to survive the zombie horde.

Video games are violent & will make you lazy

In my opinion, i think it depends on the person and the type of video games, if
the person is playing an action video game, they will more likely to be more violent because of shooting guns and explosions but if the person plays video games for children then it would likely for him to be less violent because video games for children does not contain action. Also, it depends on what type of games that will make you lazy, Video games like Grand Theft Auto or Call of Duty will more likely to make you lazy because they will make you addicted and it will make you lazy because you are going to be sitting at home playing                  Grand Theft Auto or Call of Duty for the whole day.

Conventions of a Horror Movie



The Conventional Colours for horror would normally be Black and Red, maybe because of blood and gore. The Conventional Locations for horror could be indoors or outdoors and it is normally at night. The Conventional Costumes could be masks and Dark clothing's. The Conventional Props would normally be knifes and guns. The Conventional Characters could be zombies, monsters, ghosts and psychotic people.Examples of Film in this Genre are Dawn of the Dead, Paranormal activity 1,2 and 3, The Crazies and Apollo 18.

The chat-roulette method, the last exorcism used it to trick people.

2. Today i learn that some film marketing methods are suited to particular audiences. For example: Creating a website for a film is the best suited to a film whose audience is 15 because they use internet a lot.

3.Today i have learned that some film marketing methods are suited to genres of film. For example:

having toys is best suited for a film which is from the cartoon genre because when children buys the toy, they will like the film.

having an action video game for a film which is from an action genre because once they play the game, they will be interested in the film.

Film Marketing Research

1. Film Marketing is when putting basic information of the film to platforms such as magazines, trailers, internet, newspapers and billboards are used so people will know what the film is about.



2. Film poster are used to advertise a film. in a film poster, you would normally find information like the title of film pictures.


3. Film trailer is a short video that contains little bits of scenes from the film and it is advertised in the public.


the trailer that i watch was a good trailer, they have added information's about the film and also added little bits of the scene.

4. Film merchandise are retail products, it could be posters, t-shirts, toys or mugs, they are sold in shops.
                                                                                                                                                                   

5. Film website is a website that has information's about the film. 

In a film website, you would normally find photos, trailers and more information's about the film.

6. film companies makes apps for phones, people buys the apps and the film company will make lots of money out of it.

My idea for an Advert

HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio


I would have Dr. Dre in the advert simply because he is the founder of Beats.


HTC Sensation™ XL with Beats Audio™ this product is a Smart Phone.

Main Colours in the advert is white because the Smart Phone is white.

The target audience is mostly likely to be Teenagers and who likes to listen to music because this Phone has the Beats Audio.

Knife CrimeI chose teenagers because Media blames them for Crimes such as Drug Crimes, Knife Crimes and many more or for involving in Gangs... But in my opinion, not all teenagers are the same.
